The Copper River King (Chinook) salmon are the first wild Alaskan salmon on the market each year and are always in high demand. The King salmon is the largest of the salmon species and has a mild flavor that lends itself well to marinades and light sauces.
In addition, this combination pack offers delicious Copper River Sockeye (Red) salmon. The Sockeye is a smaller species of salmon and is often noted for its bright red flesh and slightly stronger flavor. Pair this salmon with wild mushrooms and long-grain rice for an impressive dinner party. Several recipe cards for salmon are included with each combination pack.
The Copper River in Alaska is one of the most rugged rivers anywhere. Salmon returning to this river system must store extra fat and oils in order to make this arduous journey. This high fat and oil content is why wild Alaskan Copper River Salmon are the best tasting and healthiest salmon available.
The Copper River King and Sockeye fillets are boneless, skin on, flash-frozen 6 - 8 oz. portions, individually vacuum sealed and ready to prepare or freeze.
